The Catcher in the Rye – Jerome David Salinger

Einflussreich war er ja wirklich, aber auch exzentrisch und mit zunehmendem Alter menschen- und publicity-scheu. Besonders seine Novelle ‚The Catcher in the Rye’ (Der Fänger im Roggen) wurde ein – stark kontrovers diskutierter – Welterfolg.
Auch ich war/bin von diesem Buch fasziniert, es übt eine eigentümliche Faszination aus, der man sich nur schwer entziehen kann.

Berühmt wurde das Buch auch dadurch, dass Mark David Chapman dieses Buch bei sich trug, als er John Lennon erschoss.
